Suriname Business Center,  together with partners such as Honeywell, will produce biofuel in the inland area of Suriname. SBC biofuel is a renewable fuel, made from primary biomass. The production process takes place at the RTP plant owned by Envergent, which is part of the Honeywell company group. SBC aims to offer biofuels that are ecologically and economically justified, offering comparable or better performance than other fuel types, when deployed in conventional engines. 

We can see fuel prices are rising internationally all around the world. Due to the depletion of fossil energy resources and increased challenges of environmental impact, particularly greenhouse gas emissions, the biofuel market is expanding rapidly. This issue is not only specific to Suriname, the Caribbean or Latin America, but concerns the whole world. Therefore, our target customers are not only in the Surinamese market; we also aim to export biofuels to other continents and countries. For example, the Renewable Fuel Standard in the USA allows the import of biofuel for blending credits. Additionally, there is a growing demand in both North America and South America for aviation biofuel (bio-jet fuel), which can be co-produced in our proposed plant as well. SBC also has an off-take contract in place for a European headquarters based in The Netherlands. 

Our team, along with our external partners and EPC’s, have all in-house knowledge and experience needed to build this biofuel production facility up completely and successfully, and to manage and organize, finance, control, market, promote, and distribute biofuels as well as resolve typical technical and organizational problems that are expected to accompany Grassroot startups. SBC aims to be among the world’s largest integrated grassroots bio-refineries within the next 5 to 10 years; which we will succeed in through the scale that we propose when all modular upgrades and expansions are completed: The total capacity of Suriname Business Center biofuel will be more than 500k Million liters per year for five RTP units.
